Tourplus Lite
Revamping a social travel mobile app for the 2020s

Challenge
Modernizing an outdated app with unclear and manual journeys
The existing app was outdated and no longer fit the modern mobile UI expectations of the 2020s. Key flows also depended on too many manual steps, creating avoidable friction for users and the internal team.
- Many product and service flows still required manual processing.
- Content clarity was low, which created extra follow-up work for customer support.
- There was no reward layer to encourage user stickiness or repeated engagement.
- The onboarding page had low usage and did not record helpful data for marketing purposes.
Approach
Research, restructure, test, and systemize
The redesign began with competitor research, information architecture, and wireframes to understand where the original app was creating friction. A/B testing helped validate the improved directions before the screens were refined into a full mobile interface.
- Expanded login methods and improved user data collection.
- Added clearer value-led information to support purchase decisions.
- Reduced checkout friction by removing avoidable manual steps.
- Built a design system to keep the revamp consistent and handoff-ready.
